Video Capsule Endoscopy These illustrations were created for an article in the Cleveland Clinic's Journal of Medicine. The article features VCE, a small video capsule that is ingested to view the patient's gastrointestinal (GI) tract with focus on the small intestine. The main illustration shows the two other common forms of endoscopy: EDG and Colonoscopy and their limits in terms of access to the GI tract. The insets detail the VCE technology including the sensors and data recorder, as well as the video capsule within the small intestine. The intestinal illustrations were created in Adobe Photoshop. The capsule, figure inset, and layout were completed in Adobe Illustrator to follow the Cleveland Clinic's style guide.
